Sales cycles 5/26

Here we are at Memorial weekend, there are some good cookout products this week!

The most common item this week is …

CORN ON THE COB!!

What cookout is complete without corn on the cob?! Right?!

So in Maine, where I am, corn is 20 cents an ear, I usually aim for 12-15 cents for a really big stock up … however, with prices going up on everything, and this being the weekend that’s usually best …. this could be it :/ 4th of July could be better?!

You can clean up the corn, snap them in half, blanch them(drop them in already boiling water for a couple minutes) take them out, let them cool then put them in the freezer! Ready for year round use!

If you put 5 full ears I 1 bag, like the bags of frozen corn on the cob you buy at the store, you will have paid $1. Buying those pre frozen ones that don’t even taste that good, cost $3-5! By comparison, if you use 1 bag per month(and who doesn’t use A LOT more than that through the summer??) That is 12 a year … or $12 if you stick up more and freeze your own or (using $4 as the average) $48 a year by buying month to month …. that is like buying 3 months worth then the rest of the year is free!

My family easily goes through 10 ears or more a meal and in summer will have it AT LEAST weekly all summer then at least 1 time a months the rest of the year. So that is 24 times a year, or 240 ears of corn 😮 if I bought the frozen stuff I would be getting roughly 48 bags at $4 spending $192 JUST on corn on the cob! Instead I stock up when prices are this low or better and spend $48 for the whole year!

Alright, for those not in New England, Corn prices are ranging from 20 cents 5/$1 or 10/$2 to 10/$3.

Sausage to throw on the grill is all kinds of good prices but every store has different brands on sale, which is actually quite odd … but hey is you live sausage/brats …. now is a good time to stock up for at least until July 4th! Most sale prices are falling between $1.99 -2.50! Many brands have coupons out in the last couple Sunday papers or check coupons.com . There are rebates on Ibotta and Fetch Rewards (be sure to use code XU3WR when you sign up for a few $ to get you started) will give you points toward money back on almost every brand!

Coke products, 12 pack cases are coming in right around $2.50 a case across the country, your store may be slightly more or less based on region but it’s pretty close all over!

Pepsi brand 2liters are coming in under $1 all over the place!

Doritos, Lays, Fritos are great prices avery where, I’m seeing $1.77 – BOGO across the country! In my book Bogo is, buy for the month price because this happens pretty much once a month consistently. Under $2 I’ll stock up, getting at least 3 months worth as that pretty much covers birthdays and such. 🙂 I don’t trust kids to stay out of the stash of it’s more than that!

There are also great deals all over on Tide if you have this weeks coupons! You’ll do best going to a national pharmacy… so Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid … as they all are offering store money back if you buy $15, 20 or $30(respectively) worth of products(most Proctor and Gambel products).

There are $2 off Tide liquid and $2 off Tide pods. After coupons AND store money back each bottle or bag averages about $2 so of you love Tide its definitely a good time to go!

You can then use that store money to buy other items you need or wait for next week to use it to buy other things that will be great price with coupons!
