Sales cycles: 5/21 week

Goodness, can you believe that May is already almost over?!

I don’t know about you but this spring has been crazy for us! With 3 kids playing baseball, Mothers day craziness as only happens in the floral industry, it’s also planting season in the greenhouse, again, floral industry not just the family garden size of greenhouse 😉 Then to add an extra little dose of crazy, Mothers day I got the gift of learning that I’m a mommy to a new little one!

Now that my excitement is out … on to sales this week 🙂

This week has several things making a shopping trip worth while!

Boneless chicken, while not quite hitting those rock bottom, big stock up price, it is at the good price and is certainly worth getting some either to get you through about a month if you haven’t stocked up or to give a cushion if you have a stock pile but want a buffer/comfort zone 🙂

In my area it is $1.79lb, at Shaw’s for my local readers 😉 (there is also a $5 of 50 purchase digital coupon to sweeten it 😉 ). Across the country I’m seeing $1.69 -1.89 at your stores that actually run sales (aka not Walmart)

Perfect combination this week! Chicken and BBQ sauce!

Sweet baby Ray’s is popping up $.99 almost everywhere and as low as $.88 in preparation for Memorial day cook outs! WAIT … there is ALSO coupons coming in this weekend paper, value may vary by region, from $1/2 – $1/4 … this will make your BBQ sauce as low as $.38 a bottle!

This blog post may contain affiliate links for which I may make a small amount of money at no cost to you should you use it! These links help me cover costs of this blog as well as support my family so thank you for using them 😉

Avocado, Mango, Pineapple are all popping up with good prices so definitely check your store!

Pickles is another one coming in nice and low! Slight variation to size jars and brands but most store have a couple choices, brand names, various cuts for under $1.50! These may go slightly lower next weekend or 4th of July weekend but this is in the stock up area… especially if you have coupons!

Be sure to check your stores digital coupon program AND Ibotta, Fetch rewards (use referral code XU3WR when signing up to recieve 2000 points to get you started) for further savings and money back 🙂

Did you manage to stock up on strawberries last week? I see they are ranging from $2lb to $4 😮 this week … this is why it pays to watch and know your cycles 😉 we should see Strawberries be low again around mid June.

This week with some of those sale Strawberries, I made some YUMMY baked oatmeal, it was quite light and fluffy! If interested, here’s the recipe (4 solid servings, could be 6) Sorry I forgot to take a photo :p

4 eggs

1 3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup creamer (I used a sweet one, doesn’t matter which if you like it)

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon of Himalayan salt(if you use regular table salt use about 1/4 teaspoon so it isnt bitter)

3-4 large Strawberries

1 1/2 cups Quick oats

I mixed the eggs, milk, creamer very well until smooth and creamy. Then mixed in the sugar and salt. I pour in the oatmeal and cut up Strawberries and mix these in together(one time I mixed them seperate the strawberries didn’t mix in well so mix oats and berries at the same time!)

Melt a tablespoon or so of butter in the pan you’ll use, then pour in the oatmeal mix. Bake for about 25 min at 375 *** longer if using a deeper pan*** I normally use a 10 inch cast iron skillet but this week used a 6 inch, deep side cake pan … it worked just as well 🙂 You’ll know its finished when it is a bit brown on top and the edge has gotten a slight crisp!

Enjoy!!

Be sure post what kind of deals you find out shopping this week 🙂 If you’re enjoying my fledgling blog, please be sure to share posts, like them etc 🙂 Thank you!
