Over the last week things have been a bit crazy!

After our couple of productive days … we were due for a couple wet days with possible snow which turned to expected 3-5 inches. Ok, no big deal right? It was due to go right back to 40s to 50s …. well that 3-5 inches came down as roughly a foot of VERY wet and heavy snow! 😮

Well what a huge mess that made! Most of the state lost power due to tons of trees breaking, being bent to the ground and even being ripped from the ground 😮 it was absolutely crazy! Around the area we cleared, we had 8 more full size trees come down overnight … one also broke one of the smaller trees in our yard.

On the positive side, the 8 trees coming down I believe will have our clear area almost doubled once they are cut up and cleaned up! Yay, some work saved! I’ll update once we get that finished 😉

We had power out for 2 days so many projects planned didn’t happen …. but playing games happened! 😁 Caring for a grumpy teething baby happened 😕

The elderberry and weeping willow have rooted out well and will be getting potted this week! I’m excited to see them take off!

Thanks to Makayla our greenhouse is up outside and we are now having a week of sun so hopefully we will have a productive week this week!

Some goals of the week are, clean up the storm mess, get strawberries, rhubarb and other roots to get plants started, get more seeds started, make a batch or 2 of soap … I may save that for Sunday when we have more rain coming 🤷‍♀️ I’m hoping the baby will be cooperative with these accomplishments so if you think of it, please say a prayer that she will not be so grumpy with her teeth and take good naps! 😁

Oh yes … also meal planning and shopping needs to happen, I can’t wait until we can produce most of our food from here!
